Can I access CRUSH therapy if I don't have a disability?

Of course! While we specialise in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and neurodivergent folk, we welcome people from all backgrounds and walks of life. We offer individual and couples therapy to people of all abilities. The way you are able to fund your sessions may differ however so consider discussing medical plans with your GP, and/or private health provider. You can also privately fund sessions. If you're unsure or would like to discuss further feel free to send us an email via our Contact page and we can support you.

Can I access CRUSH using my NDIS plan?

Yes, you can access CRUSH therapy under your NDIS plan if you are self-managed or plan-managed. As a registered Occupational Therapist, therapy with me falls under the Capacity Building - Improved Daily Living funding line. Send us an email if you have any further questions.

How do I know if CRUSH therapy is the right service for me?

All potential clients will have a free 10 min screening call to ensure that CRUSH is a suitable service for the support you require. If you've had a read of our website and services that we offer, and you're still not sure if CRUSH therapy is right for you then send an enquiry via the Contact page and we can organise a phone call to discuss further.

Where is your office and do I need to attend in person?

Our office is in Fremantle, Western Australia. While we recommend coming in to have sessions face to face, we understand there are often circumstances and reasons where someone may prefer to access our services remotely. In these instances we can offer telehealth sessions.

Do you only do one on one therapy sessions?

Our primary focus is to improve the outcomes of the individual. AND we understand that to do that we must also educate, empower and support those who support that individual. We offer 1:1 therapy sessions but we also offer education sessions, joint sessions, consultative coaching support and support to parents, carers and other key support people. CRUSH therapy welcomes any additional consultative, guest speaking etc enquiries via our Contact page.

What age groups do you work with?

We work with all age groups! However the nature of the topics and specialist area of sex and sexuality do tend to see a teen, adolescent and adult population come through our doors. We welcome all age groups from pre-pubertal children, to teens, adults and aging adults.

How is the CRUSH office accessible and neuro-friendly?

Our office is on a quiet side street with little traffic. There is often easy to find street parking or nearby bus stops if you are not driving. The building in all one level and accessible via wheelchair. Inside our office there is a quiet waiting room where you and/or your support person can wait. The floors are carpet and absorb sound, you are free to bring headphones as required of course. In the therapy room we have adjustable lighting options, comfy couches, and a selection of sensory items available to keep your hands busy while your mind does wonderful things like grow and learn. Please let us know if you would like a social story about the therapy space and office, with pictures and all. Anything to make your visit as smooth and easy as possible.
